Ilias Psyroukis has been active in space technologies and space innovation since 2012.
He is a National Geographic Young Explorer and was included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Greece 2021 list.
As co-founder of SPIN – Space Innovation, he developed educational programmes aimed at strengthening young people’s skills and knowledge, with an emphasis on research and development of space-related technologies.
He has also worked as a scientific adviser on programmes in the Greek space industry, and has been supported by the European Space Agency for the organization of CanSat in Greece.
At the same time, he co-founded Letters to Strangers Greece, an organization aimed at creating youth communities for the destigmatization of mental health.
Since 2024, he has returned to Agiasos, Lesvos, where he is active in primary production and processing in combination with new technologies, while also working locally on issues of animal abuse and the protection of the natural and built environment.
